Imagine that?!? Reignite the flame from your childhood for a SUPER successful 2010!

What were your dreams when you a kid?
Are you living up to the 11 year old version of yourself? The one that had endless amounts of hopes and dreams, and an imagination that knew no boundaries?

What if you had the same limitless and creative approach in 2010 that you had when you were 10 years old? What would your life be like and what would be different?

How would you approach your business?

Here is a FUN and QUICK activity that you can do to reignite the flame of your childhood for a SUPER successful 2010!

With an open heart, a fearless mind and a blank piece of paper and some colored pencils…try this:

Map out 2010, as if the words “no” and “can’t” did not exist. If time, money and resources were unlimited what would your business be like in 2010? Literally draw out all aspects of your business, like a blueprint. When you hit a block, think of what your disney-inspired 10 year old self would say…”The possibilities are endless.”

“Let your conscious be your guide.” -jiminy cricket.

Now….as you continue to make this creative roadmap for 2010 think of other areas of your life that you are neglecting or that are left unnourished, unbalanced, unfulfilled, etc. On that same piece of paper, in a different color, depict what 2010 will bring in these areas of your life:
- love
- success
- money/finances
- spiritual
- FUN (hobbies, extracurricular, etc)
- health/fitness

We are about a week away from a new year and a new decade. The time is NOW to start taking action, making changes and improving your life . You CAN start living the life of your dreams, and it CAN start NOW.

Now that you’ve created your blueprint for your dreams, hang it high, somewhere you can revisit it. Check back to your drawing from time to time, have a moment with your drawing and encompass what it represents. Think of your 10 year old self, the one who believes that anything is possible. Don’t wait another day….make it happen today.

After all, those are YOUR dreams…what’s it worth to ya?

Here are a few more resources to help you on your way to a SUPER succesful 2010!
- work with a professional to help you get clear of the past and let go of the weights you’ve been carrying all these years.

- hire a coach to help you create a success strategy that will work with you to help make your dreams a reality.

- make a list of to-dos…as you skim through the list, next to each item decide whether you will DO it, DUMP it, DELEGATE it, make a DECISION, DROP it (dry cleaning anyone?)….you get the point!

- start having more FUN on a daily basis. Think of the things you used to love doing as a kid…be it to dance, art, piano, running, movies, bowling, biking, cooking, the list goes on…and start doing it! Pick up new hobbies for 2010 that you keep meaning to make time for. You’ll be surprised how everything else feels a little less stressful and a little more enjoyable once you simply start adding more FUN to your life!

How do YOU define success?

The last few months have brought incredible changes in my personal and professional life. I’ve been working with amazing people via The Center for Self Growth and Create Your Great Life. I have been back and forth to California a few times, first to San Diego in August for a great vacation with M, and then out to LA in Oct for a friend’s wedding and to check out possible apartments and locations for a cross-country move in 2010. As well as being constantly surrounded by family and friends that are happy, healthy and blessed.

A friend of mine and fellow Life Coach, Karyn B., once shared a quote with me about success as “having the ability to spend your life in the way that you choose.” I couldn’t have agreed with her more! Check out some of her motivation thoughts here, Lose the Excuses! Blog.

I wanted to take this short time out in cyberspace to acknowledge that conscious choices that I have taken in 2009 to define success in my own life and choose to live in the light of it. I feel very fortunate, blessed, gracious and appreciative for my health, support and work. Only a daily basis, I am challenged, inspired and continually learning about people, human interaction, the universe, and more importantly, lessons about myself.

Tis' the season. Tips for keeping your stress level and wallet under wraps this holiday season!

It’s that time of year again. The roads are packed with busy shoppers, your wallet is feeling the financial strain, and you’re probably feeling stress from holiday plans, the economy, your never-ending holiday list, etc. It’s pretty inevitable that the busy-ness from the holiday season can cause you feeling burnt out, overwhelmed and heck, may just take the fun out of this “joyous” time.

Well, it doesn’t have to.

I am here to tell you that there is something EASY that you can do TODAY that will dramatically affect your stress-level, happiness and even your wallet. Here it is:

RESPOND vs. REACT.

You cannot control other people, their mood, their weather, accidents/holdups, etc. But the GOOD NEWS is, you CAN control YOU and YOUR mood. Here are some quick tips for avoiding the inevitable high-impact of the holidays to keep your temper cool and your heart warm.

1. When in traffic, crank up your favorite tune and/or an interesting audio book. Don’t think of it as time wasted; think of it as precious time that you are spending with yourself.

2. Practice a few moments of deep breathing in the morning, afternoon, and in the evening. Oxygen to yours cells is nature’s GREAT de-stressor!

3. Do a random act of kindness and change your karma for the day.

4. Smile more. Read More: Christmas in July

5. Instead of breaking the bank for fancy holiday gifts, think of what the most precious gift you can give some is….hint…it involved spending time and doing quality things together. This year, instead of our usually holiday grab bag, some of my girl friends and I are doing dinner together and spending an evening catching up and with each other. We are all so fortunate to have material luxuries in our life, that spending time together is more valuable than a small grab bag gift, and your wallet with THANK you.

6. Practice your daily gratitude reminder. Here’s a small tip. Get yourself a small post-it pad. Each morning when you begin your day, write down something you are grateful for, as meaningful or material as you would like (no one will judge you!) . When you are feeling extra holiday stress throughout the day, re-read your daily gratitude post-it and take in the feelings of gratitude and let it works its magic.
